MY TEAM AND I MADE 380 MAGAZINES.
That's right. 380 magazines from September 2011 until December 2019. Depending on the month and the magazines on deck, we were producing anywhere from 500-700 pages monthly, top-to-bottom. Each magazine had its own external Editor-In-Chief, sales team and collection of writers — my internal design team was responsible for all of the advertisement and editorial design assigned to us by the external staffers. I created a workflow to absorb each piece of the puzzle, delegated work to designers, gave feedback before ads were sent to advertisers for approval, set up all paginations and reviewed every single page before submitting files to the Prepress department. These books revolved around extreme attention to detail, offering the best customer service possible, making seemingly impossible deadlines and constantly running to press checks to ensure a beautiful piece each time.
