During my first typography class at Drake University, the professor stopped mid-lecture and exclaimed, “doesn’t this stuff just GET YOU GOING?!” I’ve always considered myself to be one of those ‘artsy types’, but her moment of pure love and excitement reaffirmed what I have probably always known — this stuff really gets me going. Visual arts and communication is exhilarating. But perhaps more importantly, it is the quest to do great work with incredible people that keeps me going.
