I believe that all designers should always seek personal and professional growth (especially myself!). In an effort to flex the design muscles in between publications and projects, I created a series of Continuous Education projects for my staff at Printco Graphics. Some projects take 10 minutes and some take all day — either way, they provide an opportunity to learn and grow.
SOME OF THE CONTINUOUS EDUCATION TOPICS
• Color correction in Photoshop
• Creating automations and scripts within Adobe programs
• Typography specimen study
• Seamless Illustrator patterns
• Advanced typesetting in InDesign
• Advanced vector-based illustrations
• Advanced typography effects
• Product photography and editing
• Show & Tell (designer picks the topic and then presents to the staff)
• Revisit the first project completed as a designer at Printco — reevaluate and redesign as you wish!
